Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to destroy the Constitution of India and democracy, Samajwadi Party’s candidate from Mainpuri constituency, Dimple Yadav, said that this election is an occasion to save the Constitution of the country and democracy. She made these remarks while addressing people at a nomination procession for the INDIA bloc’s SP candidate from Unnao seat, Annu Tandon. Yadav alleged that the BJP government has failed to fulfill its promises to farmers and youth, and has instead increased inflation, unemployment, and corruption.
Dimple Yadav said that the BJP government had promised two crore jobs to youth every year but failed, on the contrary, jobs were snatched away from them due to faulty policies. Blaming the BJP government for paper leak incidents in recruitment exams, she said, “The paper leak in recruitment examination is also a part of the well-planned conspiracy of the BJP. Due to paper leaks, the hard work of educated youths get wasted. Such frequent paper leaks show that that BJP does not want to provide jobs to the youth.”
Yadav further attacked the BJP, saying that the cases of injustice and crime against women had increased under the BJP government. “The government has failed to provide security to women. The 1090 Women Power Service was started for women safety by the Samajwadi Party government but it was also ruined by the BJP. It has snatched away the rights and respect of women. The Dial-100 service started for the safety of people was also ruined by changing its name. BJP is expert in spreading hatred in the society. Apart from discrimination, no development work was done,” she said.
Dimple Yadav also accused the BJP of using agencies like ED and CBI to scare the opposition party leaders and businessmen and harassing people by filing false cases against them. She said that this election is an occasion to save the Constitution of the country and democracy. “This is an election to save democracy and the Constitution. BJP is playing with the future of farmers and youth. Such a government should be removed,” she said.
