Shivam Singh’s explosive 78 runs off just 51 deliveries, featuring six boundaries and five sixes, propelled Dindigul to a commanding total of 160 for eight. His knock was a treat for the spectators, showcasing his aggressive approach and powerful hitting. He particularly targeted the pacers, smashing back-to-back sixes off Saravana Kumar and displaying a fearless batting style.
However, K. Easwaran’s exceptional bowling performance, claiming six wickets for 32 runs, kept Trichy in the hunt. After Salem posted a challenging total of 180 for seven, Madurai’s chase looked daunting. However, S. Lokeshwar’s explosive 38-ball 69, peppered with eight fours and three sixes, kept Madurai in the game. He formed a crucial 79-run partnership with J. Kousik, who scored 57 runs. With 14 runs needed off the last six balls, Murugan Ashwin smashed three consecutive sixes off Sunny Sandhu to secure a thrilling four-wicket victory for Madurai.
