Disney Vacation Club celebrated the grand opening of the first phase of new cabins at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort. Situated in the woodlands of Walt Disney World Resort, these cabins offer a serene retreat where guests of all ages can enjoy the comforts of home combined with the pleasures of outdoor living.

The 17th Disney Vacation Club property was celebrated with a lively event at Pioneer Hall in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Diercksen reminisced about the location’s rich history, leading to a special entertainment segment inspired by the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be opening in phases throughout the year, with over 350 new cabins planned. These cabins are part of a series of enhancement projects at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground aimed at improving the overall guest experience.
Nestled in the tranquil beauty of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, the newly opened cabins seamlessly blend rustic charm with Disney whimsy, creating a truly unique and enchanting stay. Inspired by the surrounding natural splendor, Walt Disney Imagineers have crafted these accommodations to honor the resort’s rich heritage while infusing delightful Disney touches. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows bathe each cabin in natural light, offering breathtaking views of the outdoors. Inside, charming original artwork and nostalgic nods to the resort’s early days, alongside beloved Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and the playful Chip and Dale, contribute to the magical ambiance.
Each spacious one-bedroom cabin comfortably accommodates up to six guests, featuring a main bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, dining space, and a welcoming outdoor patio. Guests can enjoy elevated, home-like comforts, making every stay a truly memorable experience. For those traveling with pets, dog-friendly cabins are also available, ensuring no family member is left behind.
These cabins are designed to provide exceptional experiences and amenities for Disney Vacation Club Members while supporting The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to sustainability. Collaborating with two Florida businesses, Disney employed an innovative process that minimized metal waste to less than one percent. The construction methods used also helped preserve the resort’s natural wilderness. Additionally, each cabin includes an on-site electric vehicle charging station to further enhance eco-friendliness.
