DIY Dollar Tree Solar Globe Lights: A Budget-Friendly Garden Enhancement

Creating a stunning summer garden doesn’t have to be expensive. With a touch of creativity and budget-friendly materials, you can elevate your outdoor space with DIY solar globe lights. DIY expert Cynthia Villegas (@vintageandgraceliving) has shared her ingenious method for crafting these eye-catching lights using everyday items from Dollar Tree and Costco.

To begin, gather two plastic punch bowls from Dollar Tree for each outdoor light. For the light source, Cynthia recommends solar pathway lights from Costco, emphasizing their convenience as they’re rechargeable and battery-free. To achieve a frosted finish that allows sunlight to filter through, spray paint each punch bowl. Cynthia’s “pro tip” involves drilling a small hole on top of the bowls to maximize sunlight penetration.

Once the solar lights are placed inside, secure the bowls together with glue. Cynthia suggests using small amounts of glue to prevent the bowls from detaching in windy conditions. With seven completed lights, Cynthia strategically placed them around her flowerbeds, transforming her garden’s ambiance at night. The DIY project garnered positive feedback from Instagram users, with many expressing their enthusiasm and appreciation for Cynthia’s creative idea.
