DMEGC Solar’s Infinity and Infinity RT PV Modules Receive ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint Verification

DMEGC Solar has announced the ISO 14067 product carbon footprint verification statement for its Infinity and Infinity RT PV modules, a significant sustainability milestone following the company’s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification. This achievement showcases DMEGC Solar’s dedication to reducing the carbon footprint of its products, providing customers with environmentally friendly PV module options. ISO 14067 is a comprehensive calculation method developed by the International Organization for Standardization to quantify greenhouse gas emissions throughout a product’s life cycle, from raw material acquisition to disposal. By obtaining ISO 14067 certification, companies can accurately measure and optimize their products’ carbon footprint, transitioning to more sustainable production methods. DMEGC Solar has focused on minimizing the carbon footprint of its modules for several years, recognizing it as a crucial factor in the European PV market. The company was among the first PV module manufacturers to receive low-carbon certification, enabling it to enter and gain a substantial market share in this growing sector. This latest ISO 14067 certification further solidifies DMEGC Solar’s leadership in the realm of rectangular silicon wafer modules. The rectangular Infinity RT series, launched in November 2022, is an upgrade to the renowned Infinity series, featuring larger rectangular cells that enhance power and efficiency without altering module size. These modules not only reduce system balance of system (BOS) and levelized cost of energy (LCOE) but also boast a unique distinction: 100% renewable energy production. This designation stems from a certification obtained by DMEGC Solar’s module factory last year, which utilizes rooftop PV systems, hydropower, and wind power to generate renewable energy for its module production. Moreover, one of DMEGC Solar’s module factories achieved a zero-carbon factory certification from TÜV SÜD in October 2022, becoming the first four-star zero-carbon factory certified by the agency. DMEGC Solar’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond certifications and factory operations. The company recently announced its participation in Intersolar Europe 2024, where it will showcase its upgraded Infinity RT and Greenhouse modules. These modules have undergone improvements in efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, ensuring that DMEGC Solar maintains its competitive edge in the European PV market.
