Do Aur Do Pyaar, LSD 2 See Dip in Box Office Collections on Day 4; Crew Surpasses ₹80 Crore

After the lackluster box office performances of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan,’ two smaller releases, ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ and ‘LSD 2: Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2,’ have shown promising signs but have recently experienced a dip in earnings.

On Monday, ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar,’ directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, took in ₹25 lakh, bringing its four-day total to ₹2.6 crore. The film, starring Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi, examines the theme of infidelity.

Dibakar Banerjee’s anthology ‘LSD 2’ saw a significant drop, earning just ₹8 lakh on its first Monday. Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is a sequel to the 2010 hit ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha.’

In contrast, ‘Crew,’ another Balaji production starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, is holding strong in its fourth week, surpassing the ₹80 crore mark. According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film’s success can be attributed to the lack of major competition.
