Dolce & Gabbana and Mytheresa Celebrate Capri-Inspired Capsule Collection in Capri

Under a canopy of citrus trees, Dolce & Gabbana and Mytheresa celebrated their latest capsule collection, which drew inspiration from the enchanting island of Capri. Mytheresa CEO Michael Kliger expressed his gratitude for the collaboration, emphasizing the exceptional quality of the eighth capsule created with Dolce & Gabbana.

The collection, exclusively available on Mytheresa since May 1st, captures the essence of Capri through vibrant prints and flowing silhouettes. From crop tops and mini skirts to breezy blouses and palazzo pants, the designs showcase iconic images of the Faraglioni cliffs and charming plazas. Subtle nods to the island’s world-renowned lemon groves can be found in the tarte au citron-colored cardigans and tunics adorned with starfish motifs.

Adding a touch of classic D&G glamor, many of the pieces feature a border of black-and-white polka dots, evoking a sense of nostalgic holiday charm. Richard Johnson, Mytheresa’s chief commercial officer, noted the unique nature of each collaboration while highlighting the annual celebration that has become synonymous with the summer season.

The festivities commenced with a cocktail hour at Bar Tiberio, situated in the heart of Piazza Umberto. The outdoor taverna was adorned with aquamarine pillows bearing the brand’s signature under-the-sea motif, as guests clad in the Capri collection sipped on refreshing aperol spritzes. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of celebrities like Beatrice Granno and Alice Pagani.

As the sun began its descent over the Tyrrhenian Sea, guests embarked on a romantic drive along Capri’s winding roads to the renowned Da Paolino restaurant. Nestled amidst a lemon-tree filled garden, the private terrace provided a picturesque setting for the evening’s festivities, with long wooden tables adorned with oversized lemons and flickering candles. Poppy Delevingne mingled with socialite Leonie Hanne as a trio of musicians serenaded the crowd.

The culinary experience was a true celebration of Italian cuisine. A colossal ball of burrata, captured on numerous smartphones, was transformed into a mouthwatering caprese salad, followed by plates of pillowy lemon ravioli. The dessert, a three-foot-long strawberry fagioli cake adorned with sparklers, elicited gasps of delight. Lively Italian music filled the air, inspiring guests to their feet and forming a conga line that animated the dining room. The evening culminated with a rendition of “That’s Amore,” setting the perfect tone for the continuation of the celebration at nightclub Anema E Core.
