Trump Accuses Biden of Drug Use, Demands Drug Test Before Debate

Former US President Donald Trump has accused incumbent Joe Biden of using drugs while delivering the State of the Union address in March. Trump made these allegations during the Republican party’s annual Lincoln Reagan dinner event in Minnesota on Friday.

Addressing the cheering crowd, Trump demanded that Biden take a drug test before their upcoming debate next month. He said, “I just wanna debate this guy, but you know – and I’m gonna demand a drug test too, by the way. I am. No, I really am. I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite.”

Trump recalled Biden’s one-hour-and-seven-minute SOTU speech and expressed surprise at the President’s behavior, saying he was “exhausted” at the end of his address. “We’re gonna demand a drug test. He’s going to be so jacked up for those, you watch,” he stated.

Reacting to Trump’s demand, one user on social media wrote, “That’s not something someone confident would say…..it is what someone who was planning on backing out and needs an excuse to do so would say. The guy is a coward.”

Trump Calls Biden a ‘Horrible President’

During the event, Trump criticized Biden’s environmental policies and the economy’s growth. He also vowed to address the ongoing border situation. He attacked Biden for “telling fake stories” about his life experiences and called him a “horrible president” and a “horrible man” who is “destroying” the US.

Trump referred to Biden as a “non-athlete” and ridiculed his golf game, accusing him of overstating his abilities.

Trump Insists He Won Minnesota in 2020

The presumptive Republican presidential candidate reiterated an incorrect claim that he won Minnesota in the 2020 election. He stated, “I know we won (Minnesota) in 2020. We’ve got to be careful. We’ve got to watch those votes.”

Trump believes he can win Minnesota in November, despite it being a traditionally Democratic state. No Republican presidential candidate has won Minnesota since Richard Nixon in 1972. However, Trump came close in 2016, finishing just 1.5 percentage points behind Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump attended his son Barron’s graduation ceremony in Florida with his wife Melania before arriving in Minnesota for his campaign. His campaign coincides with his ongoing hush money trial in New York.

Trump campaign officials maintain that he can defeat Biden in Minnesota in the upcoming presidential elections in November.
