Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, recently expressed her admiration for her son’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift’s latest album, ‘Midnights,’ at QVC’s inaugural Age of Possibility summit in Las Vegas. During an interview with QVC, Donna shared her enthusiasm for the album, noting that she had listened to it all morning long when it was released. She was particularly impressed by Swift’s talent and maturity. The album features several tracks that seem to allude to Swift’s relationship with Travis, including ‘The Alchemy’ and ‘So High School.’ Donna, who has seemingly grown close to Swift through the 2023-24 season, also commented on the pop star’s insight and maturity. ‘She doesn’t need my advice on anything,’ Donna remarked, when asked if she had any wisdom to impart to Swift about aging. ‘In fact, I hope she will give me advice.’
Donna also highlighted the importance of female empowerment and assertiveness in professional advancement. ‘A lot of women think if they just work hard and do everything, they will get promoted,’ she said. ‘They don’t realize they have to ask for what they want. You have to say I want that job.’
Donna’s comments come as Swift’s new album continues to make waves. The album includes tracks like ‘The Alchemy’ and ‘So High School,’ among others, which prominently feature Travis. Lyrics from ‘The Alchemy’ include football-themed metaphors like, ‘So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team / Ditch the clowns, get the crown,’ which fans speculate relate to the NFL tight end’s athletic career.
Donna also subtly hinted at a surprise twist in the album’s release on April 19. Swift took to social media to announce that ‘Midnights’ is actually a double album, with 15 extra songs. ‘I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of Midnights,’ Swift wrote. ‘And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.’
