Draganfly and Nightingale Partner to Automate Infrastructure Monitoring for Major Oil and Gas Company

Draganfly Inc. (DPRO) and Nightingale Security have announced a major partnership with an unnamed oil and gas company to develop a fully automated UAS solution for infrastructure monitoring. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in leveraging advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology to enhance operational efficiency and safety within the oil and gas sector.

The agreement, whose financial terms remain undisclosed, will utilize Draganfly’s APEX, an advanced UAV platform designed for robust performance with various payloads and peripherals. The solution will also incorporate a suite of advanced sensors, including Optical Gas Imaging (OGI), Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS), thermal, and RGB sensors, all integrated within a custom package. This combination will enable real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure, allowing for the precise detection of leaks, emissions, and structural abnormalities.

The initial phase of the project, focusing on sensor validation and selection, has already been completed. Demonstration and in-field testing are scheduled to take place throughout the remainder of the year. Future phases of the project will integrate the Draganfly APEX with Nightingale Security’s Drone in a Box flight software, leveraging Nightingale’s automation expertise developed for security applications. This integration will result in a fully automated advanced remote sensing system.

This collaboration will allow the oil and gas company to monitor infrastructure in challenging environments, including remote, hazardous, and areas with limited radio frequency (RF) capabilities, ensuring continuous surveillance and swift responses to potential issues.

Jack Wu, CEO of Nightingale Security, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering real-time situational awareness, stating, “Our mission at Nightingale has always been to deliver real-time situational awareness and to focus on Drone as a First Responder (DFR).”

DPRO stock closed at $2.35 premarket on Tuesday, down 1.67%.
