When enabled, DTS Clear Dialogue provides users with granular control over speech volume, independent from the overall volume of the soundtrack. Although DTS has not yet revealed specific TV manufacturers that will integrate Clear Dialogue, the technology is expected to be available in smart TVs starting in 2025. This isn’t the first attempt to tackle the issue of unintelligible dialogue. Sony’s latest Bravia TVs feature Voice Zoom 3, a technology that shares a similar goal with DTS Clear Dialogue. However, Voice Zoom 3 requires both a Sony Bravia TV and a compatible Sony Bravia Theater Bar soundbar to reach its full potential in enhancing dialogue clarity. DTS Clear Dialogue, on the other hand, is designed to be a universal solution, integrated directly into smart TVs, offering a more accessible and convenient approach to improving dialogue comprehension.
