Dubai to Sharjah Travel Gets a Major Boost with New 12-Minute Bus Routes

Travel between Dubai and Sharjah has just become significantly faster and more convenient with the introduction of new 12-minute intercity bus routes. This major transportation improvement, a joint initiative by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority, aims to streamline travel between the two emirates, boosting both business and leisure commutes.

Starting Sunday, two key intercity bus routes have resumed operations, offering a faster and more efficient way to travel between Dubai and Sharjah. These routes, E306 and E307, will operate on dedicated lanes, ensuring commuters bypass the usual traffic congestion that often plagues the journey.

Route E306 commences at Al Ghubaiba Bus Depot in Dubai and ends at Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah, passing through Al Mamzar along the way. Buses will depart every 20 minutes, and six double-decker buses will be dedicated to this route, providing ample space and comfort for passengers.

The second route, E307, also utilizes six double-decker buses and departs from Deira City Centre Bus Station in Dubai, heading towards Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. This route follows Al Ittihad Road and maintains the same 20-minute frequency. An estimated 1,500 commuters are expected to benefit daily from this route, taking advantage of its reliability and time-efficiency.

In addition to the resumption of these two routes, the RTA will be rerouting two other intercity bus services, E307A and E400, starting Sunday. These routes will now pass through Al Mamzar, offering an alternative to the often congested Al Ittihad Road. This adjustment is intended to further optimize inter-emirate travel and enhance the overall efficiency of bus services between Dubai and Sharjah.

These changes are a testament to the commitment of both Dubai and Sharjah’s transport authorities to improving public transportation and providing faster, more reliable options for commuters. With dedicated lanes, regular bus schedules, and comfortable double-decker buses, these new routes promise a significantly better travel experience for thousands of daily travelers.
