Max has unveiled the first tantalizing teaser trailer for its upcoming TV series, Dune: Prophecy, which delves into the captivating universe created by Frank Herbert. Inspired by the 2012 sci-fi novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the series delves into the origins of the enigmatic Bene Gesserit, a powerful organization that wields immense influence across the Imperium.
The trailer opens with an ominous declaration by Sister Theodosia, “This is us playing God,” hinting at the vast power and manipulation employed by the Sisterhood. Set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, the series follows two Harkonnen sisters, Valya and Tula, as they navigate treacherous forces that threaten the future of humankind. Emily Watson and Olivia Williams portray the central characters, bringing depth and intrigue to their roles.
Dune: Prophecy boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, among others.
