Dyche Attributes Everton Success to Fans, Not Tracksuit

Everton manager Sean Dyche played down the significance of his tracksuit following their 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. The win marked their first at Goodison Park since 2010 and secured their Premier League status for another season. Dyche has ditched wearing a suit in favor of a tracksuit on the touchline, but he insists that it’s not the reason for Everton’s resurgence. “It’s like you’re some tactical genius because you put a tracksuit on,” Dyche said. “I can assure you, that ain’t what won us the last couple of games. There’s a lot more to it than that. I’m very proud of the players and the fans, because the fans stuck with us after the last couple of games.” Dyche attributed their recent success to the unwavering support of the fans, especially against Liverpool. “The volume and the positivity towards the team, that’s a really powerful thing, and I can’t thank them for it,” he said. Next up for Everton is a clash against Brentford at Goodison Park, a victory that would see them leapfrog the Bees into 15th spot.
