E-bike Rider Hospitalized After Head-On Collision in Peterborough

A 15-year-old boy riding an e-bike was rushed to the hospital following a head-on collision with an SUV in Peterborough, Ontario, on Tuesday night. The collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Rubidge and Brock streets. The boy was taken to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment, while the driver of the SUV was not injured.

The windshield and side mirror of the SUV sustained significant damage. Rubidge Street was closed between Hunter and Brock streets while police investigated. The intersection reopened around 1:10 a.m. Wednesday.
