In an upcoming episode, Billy attempts to engage Jay in conversation but inadvertently suggests a DNA test for Nadine, who claims to be carrying Jay’s child. Nadine organizes a conciliatory gathering at The Vic in an attempt to win over the family, and Billy presents Honey with an engagement ring after proposing during the London Marathon special. However, the joyous occasion is abruptly halted by Stevie’s arrival, leaving the Mitchells in shock. Billy and Phil make it clear that Stevie is not welcome due to his past behavior toward Billy. Stevie attempts to charm his way back into the family, but Phil remains skeptical and Billy reluctantly asks him to leave. Honey offers Billy solace and encourages him to reconcile with his father.
At No. 18, Billy and Stevie engage in a candid discussion about Billy’s childhood, but the conversation quickly turns sour when Jamie’s name is mentioned. Billy orders his father to leave his life. Later, Honey urges Stevie to make a greater effort if he desires a relationship with his son.
In a subsequent episode, Billy is enraged when Stevie arrives unannounced at No. 18 and demands that he leave. Lexi and Honey attempt to persuade Billy to give Stevie a chance, but he adamantly refuses. Unbeknownst to Billy, Lexi secretly enlists Stevie’s assistance in dealing with Jay and Nadine at 29B, where Stevie encourages Nadine to undergo a DNA test. Stevie grows suspicious of Nadine’s behavior and begins to question her true motives.
