A senior official in the Eastern Cape Department of Health has been arrested for fraud, forgery, and uttering. The official, who handed himself over to detectives in East London, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. Hawks Eastern Cape spokesperson Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana confirmed the arrest, stating that the official is facing allegations of fraud, forgery, and uttering. The official is expected to appear at the Zwelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
