Kendry Paez then doubled Ecuador’s advantage from the penalty spot, putting them firmly in control.
Jamaica fought back in the second half, pulling a goal back through Michail Antonio in the 54th minute. However, they were unable to find an equalizer, and Ecuador sealed their victory in stoppage time with a brilliant solo effort from Alan Minda.
