Edmonton Elks Park & Ride Updates due to LRT Construction

The Edmonton Elks Park & Ride program, which launched in May 2023, offers complimentary transit rides to anyone with a game-day Elks ticket, from two hours prior to the game until two hours after. These tickets can be utilized for Park & Ride service, standard bus service, and LRT service.

The Valley Line LRT has necessitated some adjustments to Park & Ride this year. At Davies Station (75th Street, south of Wagner Road), bus Park & Ride service has been replaced with the Valley Line LRT. Fans can continue to park for free at the Davies Transit Centre and take the LRT to Churchill Station, where they can transfer to the Capital Line and continue to Stadium Station.

Additionally, the Lewis Farms Park & Ride lot (1021 Webber Greens Dr.) has limited parking capacity due to the construction of the Valley Line West LRT.

Park & Ride buses operate from various locations:

– Eaux Claires lot (97th Street and 257th Street)
– Lewis Farms Transit Centre
– NAIT Lots A, B, and D (109th Street and 118th Avenue) (Note: Parking at this location costs $6)
– Nakî Transit Centre (St. Albert): 15520 Campbell Road

Park & Ride buses begin operating 90 minutes before game time. Routes 2 and 101 will transport riders to the Stadium Transit Centre. Route 3 will utilize a temporary stop near Commonwealth Stadium on 86th Street/112th Avenue, as this route deviates from the Stadium Transit Centre on Edmonton Elks home game days.

The Capital Line LRT stops at Stadium Station, conveniently located near Commonwealth Stadium. Capital Line trains adhere to regular service frequencies on Elks home game days.

Alternative transportation options to Commonwealth Stadium include biking (supervised bike parking is available at the northeast corner of Clarke Stadium) and driving (although parking restrictions apply in surrounding neighborhoods, and only residents with valid permits are permitted to park on restricted streets).

The Edmonton Elks Park & Ride program, along with these modifications due to LRT construction, aims to provide convenient and cost-effective transit options for fans attending Elks home games.
