Edmonton Oilers Host Los Angeles Kings in NHL Playoff Game 2
The Edmonton Oilers will look to extend their series lead to 2-0 when they host the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 of the NHL Playoffs on Wednesday, April 24. The game is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on TBS.
The Oilers took the first game of the series on Monday with a 7-4 victory. Zach Hyman led the way with three goals and an assist, while Connor McDavid added five assists. Adam Henrique, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl, and Warren Foegele also scored for the Oilers.
The Kings will need to find a way to generate more offense in Game 2 if they want to tie the series. They were limited to just 20 shots on goal in Game 1 and failed to convert on their lone power play opportunity.
The Oilers, on the other hand, will need to continue to get production from their top players. McDavid is one of the most dangerous players in the NHL and he has been on a tear in the playoffs so far. Hyman has also been a key contributor for the Oilers and he will need to continue to produce if they want to win the series.
The Kings will also need to get more from their goaltender, Pheonix Copley. Copley allowed seven goals on 31 shots in Game 1 and he will need to be better in Game 2 if the Kings want to have a chance to win.
The Oilers are the favorites to win Game 2, but the Kings are a dangerous team and they are capable of winning if they can play to their potential. Game 2 is sure to be a close and exciting contest.
