Edmonton Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Sex Worker Assaults

Edmonton Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of assaulting and robbing two sex workers in separate incidents. According to investigators, the man initially contacted both women through a website and arranged to meet for sexual services.

The first incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Saturday at an “online rental suite” in central Edmonton. The suspect, identified as a male, allegedly met with a 30-year-old woman and violently attacked her, rendering her unconscious. The woman later awoke with significant injuries and discovered that the suspect had stolen cash, her wallet with identification, and her cell phone before fleeing the scene.

In the second incident, which occurred around 7:50 a.m. on the same day, the suspect is believed to have met a 27-year-old woman for sexual services in a hotel suite on the south side of Edmonton. After their meeting, the woman walked the suspect to the door, where he allegedly attacked her, also rendering her unconscious. Upon regaining consciousness, the woman realized the suspect had stolen cash, her wallet, and her cell phone.

Police have released photos of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving, which is believed to be a 2018 to 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Trendline. Authorities believe there may be additional victims who have been assaulted or robbed by the suspect and are urging them to contact the police.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is encouraged to contact Edmonton Police. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
