The Edmonton Stingers extended their undefeated start to the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season to 4-0 on Sunday, defeating the visiting Saskatchewan Rattlers 93-77 in their home opener at the EXPO Centre.
Brody Clarke led the Stingers with 18 points, while Ben Krikke added 14 points and six rebounds. Elijah Harkless paced the Rattlers with 25 points and eight rebounds.
The Stingers led 40-37 at halftime and never looked back. They outscored the Rattlers 27-18 in the third quarter to take a commanding 67-55 lead.
The Rattlers, who entered the game with a 3-0 record, were led by Jalen Harris, who had 19 points and eight rebounds. However, they were unable to overcome the Stingers’ balanced attack.
The Stingers’ victory was their second in as many games against the Rattlers this season. They will look to continue their winning ways when they host the Niagara River Lions on Tuesday.
