Edward Gourdet Returns to ‘Top Chef’ Territory on ‘The Dish With Kish’

Edward Gourdet, a nationally renowned culinary figure, recently appeared on the ‘Top Chef’ companion series ‘The Dish With Kish’. Hosted by ‘Top Chef’ winner Kristen Kish, the series features guest chefs preparing dishes inspired by ‘Top Chef’ challenges.

Gourdet, who finished as a finalist in Season 17 and as the runner-up on Season 12 of ‘Top Chef’, prepared a Haitian version of Creole sauce on the show. Gourdet is known for his expertise in sauces, having showcased his skills during his time competing on ‘Top Chef’.

Kish, who took over hosting duties for the series this season, following in the footsteps of former host Padma Lakshmi, asked Gourdet if he would ever compete on ‘Top Chef’ again. ‘One more time,’ Gourdet said. ‘Would you really?’ Kish said. ‘One more,’ Gourdet said. ‘I’ve got one more season in me. I’ll be, like, 60, but it’ll be great.’

Gourdet also shared his thoughts on the ‘Top Chef’ judges, saying he was most scared of Tom Colicchio. ‘Tom just, he’s like the stone face, you know. He’s very hard to read,’ Gourdet said.

Gourdet’s appearance on ‘The Dish With Kish’ is a testament to his ongoing culinary success. With his impressive resume and dedication to his craft, Gourdet remains a respected figure in the culinary industry.
