A sweeping reform of the tourism industry includes deregulation and liberalization measures. Over the past seven years, Egypt has allocated 22% of its GDP to comprehensive infrastructure development. The country plans to significantly increase hotel capacity, aiming to double the number of available room nights from 220,000 to 400,000 within the next five years.
