In her post, Vivian wrote, “I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future being in the United States. Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon.”
Vivian, who was born Xavier Musk to Elon Musk and his first wife, Canadian author Justine Musk, legally changed her name and came out as transgender in 2022. She has since severed ties with her father, stating, “I no longer want to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

Musk’s claim came after he made controversial statements on social media, where he referred to Vivian as “not a girl” and declared her figuratively “dead,” “killed by the woke mind virus.”
