Embiid Vows Sixers Will Rally After Knicks Steal Game 2

After the Philadelphia 76ers’ 104-101 Game 2 defeat to the New York Knicks, superstar center Joel Embiid expressed unwavering confidence in his team’s ability to turn the series around. Despite trailing 0-2, Embiid declared, “We should be 2-0, so we’re good. We’re gonna win this series. We’re gonna win this. We know what we’ve got to fix.” Embiid’s bold claim followed Donte DiVincenzo’s clutch 3-pointer that sealed the Knicks’ improbable comeback victory.

Playing in his eighth game since returning from knee surgery, Embiid registered a solid performance with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Despite his impressive numbers, the All-Star center is shooting a subpar 39.2% from the field in the series, a significant drop from his regular-season average of 52.9%.

Embiid joins teammate Paul Reed in voicing their confidence in the 76ers’ ability to defeat the Knicks. Before the series, Reed had stated, “We wanted the Knicks matchup, of course. That’s the easier team, I guess, but you know it’s going to be fun. We match up pretty well.”

The 76ers now face an uphill battle as they return home to host the next two games. Game 3 is set for Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center, followed by Game 4 on Sunday afternoon.
