An Air India Express flight bound for Kochi made an emergency landing in Bengaluru on Sunday after one of its engines caught fire, according to Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). All passengers and crew were evacuated safely. The incident occurred minutes after the flight took off from Bengaluru, prompting an紧急着陆. The Air Traffic Controller was alerted and a full scale emergency was declared. The emergency fire control teams at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), where the emergency landing took place, quickly extinguished the fire. The Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL), which manages KIA, was established in January 2001 as a special purpose entity by the Karnataka State Government.
