Emma Bunch, a sophomore at New Mexico State University, has proven to be a rising star in women’s golf. Despite not excelling as a junior player, Bunch’s competitive spirit and determination have led her to victory in five consecutive tournaments this spring.
Coach Danny Bowen recognized Bunch’s potential during a practice round, predicting her success at nationals. Bunch has since lived up to those expectations, winning titles at the GCU Invitational, UNF Collegiate, Ping/ASU Invitational, Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, and Conference USA Championship.
Bunch attributes her success to her mental strength and ability to learn quickly. She has developed a remarkable ability to forgive her mistakes and refocus on the next shot. This season, she has shown a remarkable consistency, finishing in the top half in all six of her fall starts and winning every tournament she has played in this spring.
As Bunch prepares for NCAA regionals, she remains humble and grateful for her success. She is determined to continue her undefeated streak and prove that she is a true contender for the national title.
