Emma Corrin’s Villainous Role in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Revealed

The long-awaited first full-length trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has finally dropped, much to the excitement of fans. The trailer has revealed that Emma Corrin will be playing the villainous Cassandra Nova, a formidable telepath who taunts the titular heroes with the scathing line, “Boys are so silly.”

Cassandra Nova, first introduced in New X-Men #114, is a parasitic life form born with a body on the astral plane. After becoming telepathically entangled with Charles Xavier, she was able to copy his DNA from the womb and form her own body, essentially becoming his twin sister. The trailer confirms that Cassandra will be using her telepathic powers for evil, as she is able to fight off Wolverine’s claw attack using only her mind.

Emma Corrin’s involvement in the movie was reported by Deadline months ago, but the identity of her villainous role has been kept under wraps until the trailer dropped. In an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Corrin expressed her excitement about joining the MCU and understanding the significance of the X-Men universe to fans.

The inclusion of Cassandra Nova in the multiversial adventure is a strong indication that Deadpool and Wolverine will likely have to face off against other X-Men characters who have not been seen in live-action form before. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is set to slash into theaters on July 26th, and fans can look forward to more thrilling encounters and character revelations in the upcoming film.
