Enshrouded, the open-world survival game, has released a substantial update titled ‘Melodies of Mire.’ This update introduces a myriad of new features and improvements, including a captivating new sub-biome.
The Blackmire sub-biome caters to players between levels 13-15, offering fresh quests and ingredients to uncover. Additionally, a new survivor is teased, inviting players to expand their camp’s companionship.
Craftable musical instruments make their debut in this update, allowing players to embrace their medieval fantasies with lute sessions around the campfire.
However, the most significant change is the implementation of player-based quest progression, a feature highly sought after by the community since launch. This change addresses the previous issue where only one player’s quest completion barred others on the server from experiencing the same quest.
Servers have also received an upgrade, featuring permission settings that enable players to establish individual passwords for those joining.
Responding to player feedback, the update introduces a new vanity system, empowering players to customize their gear without sacrificing stats.
Enshrouded’s early access launch in January garnered significant attention. Despite its initial simplicity, the game showcased intricate and user-friendly base building, juxtaposed against a mysterious fog that poses a constant threat.
Keen Games has consistently gathered user input to shape the game’s development, evident in the comprehensive roadmap released for the remainder of 2024. This roadmap includes exciting additions such as Steam Deck support and portals connecting different servers.
