Chilean telecommunications giant Entel has unveiled plans to invest $618 million in 2023, prioritizing enhancements to its mobile and home divisions. The company released a statement outlining the distribution of funds, with $451 million earmarked for projects in Chile and $167 million dedicated to Entel’s Peruvian operations.
In Chile, the company anticipates a slight decrease in investment specifically for mobile and business operations. CEO Antonio Buchi attributes this to the current market landscape, acknowledging that maintaining investment levels in the face of industry challenges is a significant undertaking.
Entel holds a strong position as the second-largest mobile operator in Peru. The company aims to capture a 30% market share within the next three to four years, according to Buchi. This ambitious target reflects Entel’s ongoing commitment to expanding its presence and strengthening its position in the Peruvian telecommunications industry.
