The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) took a significant step forward in promoting esports in China by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Media Group’s National Institute for Esports Development (NIED) and VSPO, the largest esports company in Asia. The agreement was signed during the New Global Sport Conference (NGSC24) held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 25th, 2024.
This three-way collaboration aims to harness the combined resources and expertise of each organization to bolster the esports industry in China. Key areas of cooperation include broadcasting esports events on CCTV, utilizing cutting-edge technology, expanding market reach, and promoting event content.
Faisal Bin Homran, Chief Product Officer of the Esports World Cup Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “I welcome this collaboration between the Esports World Cup Foundation, China Media Group’s National Institute for Esports Development, and VSPO. Together, with our combined platforms, expertise, and resources, we are confident we can elevate the industry to new heights and continue to engage and inspire fans and audiences throughout China.”
