Estiatorio Milos, the internationally acclaimed Greek restaurant renowned for its dedication to quality, simplicity, and authenticity, proudly opens its doors in the heart of Toronto’s revitalized financial district. Situated at 330 Bay Street, this marks Milos’ second Canadian outpost and its 12th location globally, offering a sophisticated dining experience within a historic Toronto landmark designed by Alfred Chapman in 1924.
Since its inception in Montreal in 1979, Estiatorio Milos has established itself as the premier Greek restaurant worldwide, celebrated for serving the finest line-caught fish and seafood, seasonal vegetables, and expertly sourced meats. The new Toronto location upholds this tradition, flying in fresh Mediterranean catches within 24 hours. Located within the Northern Ontario Building, a centerpiece of the Dream Collection, Milos Toronto presents a culinary journey with beautifully designed interiors by Jeffrey Beers International. The menu remains true to Chef and Founder Costas Spiliadis’ philosophy of using only the freshest ingredients to achieve perfection.
The Toronto location also introduces several exclusive offerings. “I am deeply proud to open estiatorio Milos in Toronto, a sister restaurant to my very first in Montreal,” says Chef Spiliadis. “When I opened in Montreal, it was a new adventure, and in many ways, this feels like a new chapter, nearly 50 years later. For me and my family, Milos has always been about preserving and sharing our rich Greek heritage through both our food and our memories. I wanted to create a place where everyone feels welcome, where the joy of dining is embraced in a refined yet warm and inviting environment. Toronto is the ideal city to continue this journey, and I hope everyone will enjoy the authenticity and heart of our cuisine and our experience.”
“We are thrilled to return to Canada after so many years and to bring Milos back to this vibrant culinary landscape. The incredible mark Milos has made around the world is a testament to Costas’ unwavering commitment to excellence, and to preserving the heritage and quality of Greece’s culinary traditions,” said Joey Simons, CEO estiatorio Milos. “This very special brand is primed to continue making its mark with new and exciting ventures, as we share our passion for preserving and sharing the authentic flavours, vibrant culture and exceptional hospitality of Greece.”
For the first time, Milos offers a special Bar Menu in Toronto, available Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. and on weekends starting at 5 p.m. This menu provides a more relaxed way for guests to enjoy Milos’ celebrated meze, including Grilled Portuguese Sardines, Loukaniko (charcoal grilled sausages), Lamb Chops, Fava Santorini, Sepia with black ink risotto, and an array of sashimi, tartare, and oysters. While guests can still order à la carte from the dinner menu, the complete bar menu is exclusive to the bar area.
Additionally, Milos Toronto debuts a Family-Style Menu, highlighting Spiliadis’ belief that “sharing food enriches the culinary experience.” This family feast includes signature dishes like Slow Cooked Ontario Goat with Greek herbs, Whole Roasted Giannone Farm Organic Chicken, Rabbit Stifado, and Oven Roasted Bone-in Canadian Lamb with Easter salad and Charlotte potatoes. Each family-style meal serves four to six guests, recreating the communal dining experience that Spiliadis grew up with around his family’s table.
The new Toronto location continues Milos’ tradition of excellence with a menu that embodies the pure, simple flavors of Greek cuisine, rooted in generations of culinary heritage. The dining experience is elevated with the pristine Mediterranean fish and seafood, showcased in a vibrant display within the light-filled Atrium. Guests are invited to explore Milos’ signature fish marketplace, where they can choose from an array of glistening whole fish, shellfish, and seasonal vegetables, bringing the spirit of a bustling Greek market to life.
A unique offering exclusive to Milos Toronto is the Cheese Monger’s selection. This includes a curated assortment of artisanal cheeses, dried fruits, nuts, and Greek wines, elegantly displayed on a vintage harvest table, allowing guests to personalize their meze and share the experience with friends and family.
The design of Estiatorio Milos Toronto is a stunning homage to both Toronto’s heritage and Greece’s ancient past. Upon entry, guests are greeted by a hand-plastered conical entrance, reminiscent of a Greek windmill, alongside ancient Greek vessels known as amorphae, used for storing olive oil and wine. The Atrium Dining Room, with its heritage limestone facade along Bay Street, provides an exceptional backdrop for the dining experience.
In the bar area, guests can enjoy the contemporary ambiance of the lounge, featuring a 65-foot-long Pentelikon marble bar with blue ceramic tiles evoking the waves of the Aegean, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas. Greek elements, from marble and oak flooring to custom lighting inspired by traditional fishermen’s lamps, are woven throughout the space, enhancing the restaurant’s warm and elegant atmosphere.
Milos Toronto’s menu showcases its signature dishes, including the famous Milos Special—paper-thin zucchini and eggplant, lightly fried and served with Saganaki cheese and tzatziki—as well as The Greek Spreads, featuring taramasalata, tzatziki, and htipiti. Other standout dishes include Mediterranean Octopus, charcoal broiled to perfection, Grilled Heirloom Onions from Zakynthos, and the popular Astakomakaronada, Lobster pasta Athenian style.
Desserts at Milos Toronto are a must-try, featuring the signature Greek Yogurt with walnuts and Kithira honey, alongside Baklava Kaimaki, a decadent Mediterranean treat with layered artisanal ice cream, and Ekmet Kataifi, a traditional Constantinople dessert with custard, kataifi, cinnamon, and pistachios.
