To mark this diamond jubilee, the airline held a vibrant event in the Eternal City, bringing together distinguished government officials from Ethiopia and Italy, corporate guests, stakeholders, and Ethiopian Airlines executives. The event highlighted the airline’s unwavering commitment to its passengers and the importance of the Rome route in its global operations, underscoring its dedication to seamless travel experiences while reinforcing its role as a major player in connecting Africa and Europe.

Ethiopian Airlines’ journey to Rome began as its first Italian destination, followed by the expansion to Milan in 2011. Currently, the airline operates daily flights to both cities, utilizing modern aircraft designed for passenger comfort. Beginning December 1, 2024, Ethiopian Airlines will further enhance its service by increasing flights to Rome to ten per week, providing travelers with greater flexibility and improved connectivity. With service to over 24 European destinations, the airline continues to expand its global network, with Port Sudan and Dhaka set to join soon. This expansion underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to connecting the world and providing seamless travel experiences for its passengers.
