European Parliament Passes Resolution Condemning Iran, Reinforcing Support for Israel

The European Parliament’s resolution follows the European Union’s decision last Monday to impose sanctions on Iran in an effort to restrict its missile and drone production. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz hailed the Parliament’s vote as “another Israeli political success and another blow to Iran.” Katz emphasized that the world recognizes the urgent need to halt Iran’s actions. According to Katz, “The free world understands that Iran is the biggest danger to regional and global order and peace and the biggest exporter of terrorism in the world.” He further condemned Iran’s violations of the nuclear agreement, development of offensive missiles, and support for terrorist organizations through the Revolutionary Guards. Foreign Minister Katz called on European leaders to act in accordance with the Parliament’s resolution, stating that “Iran needs to be stopped now – before it’s too late.”
