Ex-Punjab MLA Angad Saini Injured in SUV Accident

Former Punjab Congress MLA Angad Saini, 33, met with a major accident on Tuesday in Nawanshahr district after his SUV collided with an ambulance. According to information, Saini was traveling to Chandigarh when the accident occurred near Taunsa village between Kathgarh and Nawanshahr at around 10.30am. He was rushed to a private hospital in Mohali along with his driver and gunman. All three are said to be out of danger, although the driver is said to have suffered a fracture in his hand.
Saini’s personal assistant Subhash Paurhwal, while speaking to The Indian Express, said the accident was so severe that the front portion of the SUV got completely damaged and because of the heavy impact, all the airbags opened. He added that the ambulance ahead had applied a sudden brake and the driver of the SUV tried to control the vehicle but rammed into the ambulance.
Saini first became an MLA in 2017 when he was just 26. In 2022, he was not given a ticket and he contested independently but lost. Family sources said that they visited him in the hospital and he is out of danger.
