Various exit polls conducted on June 1 have predicted a resounding victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP-led NDA alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. These polls forecast that the NDA is likely to retain power for a third consecutive term, with a significant majority in the Lower House of Parliament.
According to the exit polls, the NDA is expected to open its account in the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as well as sweep Karnataka. However, it may face some losses in states such as Bihar, Rajasthan, and Haryana, where it currently holds a majority.
The Republic TV-P Marq poll predicts that the ruling alliance will secure up to 359 seats, while the opposition INDIA bloc will bag 154 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha. The Republic TV-Matrize poll gives a slightly wider range of 353-368 seats to the NDA and 118-133 seats to the opposition.
The Jan Ki Baat poll gives the NDA an even more comfortable lead, projecting a tally of 362-392 seats for the ruling alliance and 141-161 seats for the Opposition alliance. The India TV-CNX poll also predicts a strong showing for the NDA, giving them 371-401 seats and 109-139 seats to the opposition.
These exit polls paint a consistent picture of a BJP-led NDA victory, with the alliance set to retain its dominance in the Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will take place on June 4, and all eyes will be on the final results to confirm whether these exit poll predictions hold true.
