Expired Food Items Found at Hyderabad’s Rameshwaram Cafe

Authorities in Telangana have discovered expired food items at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Hyderabad. The Commissioner, Food Safety, Telangana confirmed the findings, stating that expired Black gram (Urad dal) and dairy products were found on the premises. The expired Urad dal stock weighed 100Kg and was worth INR 16K, while the expired Nandini Curd and Milk were worth INR 700. The authorities discarded the expired items on the spot. In response, Rameshwaram Cafe stated that the expired goods were not intended for consumption but were scheduled for disposal. They have also initiated an internal investigation and ordered hygiene and standard checks across all outlets nationwide. The restaurant emphasized its commitment to providing customers with quality products and assured cooperation with the authorities. The management remains dedicated to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer welfare.
