Fafá de Belém turned 68 on Friday, August 9th, and celebrated the milestone with an intimate lunch surrounded by close friends. The singer shared a video on Instagram capturing the joyous occasion, which included a birthday cake and heartfelt well wishes.
In the video’s caption, Fafá expressed her gratitude for the love and support she received. She wrote, “Today is my day. To celebrate, I invited some close friends for lunch at a very special place, Felice e Maria Gastronomia. This place brings back so many memories. I have such affection, consideration, and gratitude for this restaurant… Since the 1980s, I’ve been frequenting Massimo’s restaurant in Jardins with Maricota [Mariana Belem], and ever since, whether here or there, every year on my birthday, I come here. Gratitude to everyone for the messages of love and to everyone who came to celebrate another year of life with me.”
At the end of the birthday wishes, someone asked Fafá to give a speech. With a radiant smile, she shared, “Friends have always saved me, and that’s why I’m here among friends, regardless of family ties, because there are family members who don’t save, and there are friends who save without being family. So, I’m here to thank each and every one of you.”
