The blockbuster Malayalam movie, starring Fahadh Faasil, continues to dominate theaters and is now set to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 9. The action-comedy has earned over 146.9 crores worldwide and is estimated to have a budget of 30 crores, as per media reports.
The movie tells the story of three teenagers who move to Bengaluru for college and find themselves in a fight, leading them to seek help from a local gangster. Fahadh Faasil portrays the Bengaluru gangster with roots in Kerala and Karnataka, known for his unique white attire and thick handlebar mustache.
The acclaimed actor earlier stated that he chose to play the character because it was a departure from his previous roles. He mentioned that his character is loud and speaks a mix of Kannada and Malayalam in the movie.
Fahadh Faasil had initially insisted that the movie should be watched in theaters due to its entertaining nature. However, with the OTT release, fans who missed the theatrical experience will have an opportunity to enjoy the movie from the comfort of their homes.
