Fallout 76, the open-world multiplayer RPG title from Bethesda, has broken its all-time concurrent player count on Steam once again, just one week after setting the previous record. As of Saturday, Fallout 76 had 64,083 active players, according to SteamDB. This surge in popularity comes after the release of the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video, which has reignited interest in the franchise.
Fallout 76 was originally released on Bethesda’s own launcher in 2018, and it only arrived on Steam two years later. This means that the actual number of players across all PC platforms is likely to be even higher. The Fallout fever is high at the moment, and those who enjoyed the show can engage in Fallout 76 or other titles until the second season arrives.
Fallout 76 has not been the only game to benefit from the success of the TV show, as sales of other Fallout games have also increased significantly. Fallout: New Vegas, for example, has seen a over 7,500% jump in sales in the past week.
