Farmers National Company, the leading provider of landowner services in the nation, has announced the addition of Jim Ferguson to their team. Ferguson, a skilled auctioneer and real estate sales professional from Illinois, joins the company as a Relationship Executive/Real Estate Sales.
Ferguson’s expertise in farmland transactions stems from his experience in both real estate sales and farm management since 2017. He has a deep understanding of the market from both the seller and buyer perspectives, allowing him to effectively navigate complex transactions. “With a deep understanding of the farmland real estate market, I excel in working with a diverse range of clients, including landowners, farmers, and investors. My experience spans many facets of the industry, from transactions to acquisitions and leasing. I excel in building strong relationships, negotiating favorable terms, clearly communicating complex details, comprehensive diligence, and serving the unique needs of my clients,” Ferguson shared.
Prior to his real estate career, Ferguson served as a special federal officer and detective with the Normal Police Department for 16 years. He is also a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University. His impressive background includes experience playing college football for both Illinois State University and the University of Illinois.

Ferguson will be based out of his Bloomington office in the Downs / LeRoy area. He and his wife, Laura, share two children, Hoyt and Hadley, and enjoy spending time on their family farm.
