FASTag Replacement and Re-KYC Rules Announced

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced new rules regarding FASTags, the electronic toll collection system. These rules mandate the replacement of all five-year-old FASTags by the issuing agency, making it crucial for drivers to keep track of their tag’s expiry date. Furthermore, the re-KYC (Know Your Customer) process for FASTags will be conducted every three years to ensure accurate and updated information is maintained. This re-KYC process will involve verification of vehicle and owner details, contributing to a more secure and efficient toll collection system. These measures aim to streamline toll payments, prevent fraud, and enhance the overall user experience. It is advised that motorists stay updated on the latest regulations and ensure their FASTags are compliant with the new rules.
