Italian winger Federico Chiesa has hinted at a move to Liverpool, adding fuel to the fire of transfer rumors surrounding him. Footage emerged in Italian media showing Chiesa arriving at an airport, reportedly en route to England on a private flight. When asked about his departure, Chiesa expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m really happy and ready for this new adventure.” He went on to thank Juventus fans for their support, assuring them he would always cherish his time with the club.
Neither Liverpool nor Juventus have officially commented on any potential transfer involving Chiesa. However, British media outlets are reporting that Liverpool will pay 13 million euros ($14.5 million) for the winger, who played a pivotal role in Italy’s victorious Euro 2021 campaign. Chiesa, the son of former Italian striker Enrico Chiesa, would be the first outfield player acquired by Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot.
Liverpool’s transfer activity hasn’t stopped there. The club recently signed Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia on Tuesday, though he will remain on loan at the Spanish club for the rest of the season.
