Nestled in the historic Ca’ da Mosto palace between the Rialto Bridge and the ‘Mercato Vecchio’ area, The Venice Venice Hotel has unveiled the eagerly awaited Felix Anima Spa. This spa seamlessly blends science and art to offer a rejuvenating experience, featuring the artistry of Victoria Zidaru and aligning with the hotel’s Post Venetian vision of combining contemporary art with bespoke experiential design.
As guests step into the spa, they are transported to a unique realm, surrounded by intricate floor-to-ceiling structures that resemble warp and weft. These structures, reminiscent of the tree of life’s roots, fill the space with the healing aromas of hundreds of medicinal herbs, creating an immersive and therapeutic environment.
Victoria Zidaru reflects on the thought process behind her art: ‘I try to convey a positive message, a bright message, in a bid to help people overcome their problems. Therefore, my shapes are broad, generous, simple, expressive, and text-laden. Texts that are not as religious as they are spiritual, full of a certain essence and knowledge. Through my art, I try to eternalize certain states that can give certain peace, positive energy, and perhaps power, long after one comes into contact with a piece I have created.’
Inspired by the herbalist treatise ‘Ordo Virtutum’ by Saint Hildegard of Bingen, whose powerful messages are embroidered on the fabrics, Victoria and Alessandro Gallo have created an immersive space where art nurtures the wellbeing of each guest. This philosophy is reflected in the spa’s treatments, which are meticulously tailored to individual needs.
The innovative spa features a dedicated wellness area on the ground floor, including an indoor pool made of Trachyte stones, a Turkish bath, a second treatment space, and a private bedroom for relaxation. This entire ground floor area, facing the Grand Canal, is accessible through a private courtyard and can be reserved separately upon request.
