As lovers of the avant-garde, these luxury garments and accessories captivated us, leading us to create a visual interpretation that captures – with the Vogue eye – the essence of the Italian Maison.
From the moment we saw this season’s pieces, we knew Ferragamo had captured something special. Under the direction of Maximilian Davis, this proposal transforms fantasy into a series of tangible and sophisticated designs. ‘We wanted to play with the idea of fantasy and reality,’ Davis explains. And play he has. Each silhouette and line tells a story that fuses timeless elegance and audacious innovation. For us, this collection is more than just fashion; it’s an invitation to immerse oneself in a world where ensembles are filled with infinite possibilities.
In Vogue x Ferragamo, we decided to translate this narrative into a series of images that explore the dream of an eternal summer. We imagined a landscape surrounded by sand, accompanied by sculptures with structured lines, an ideal setting for a wardrobe that seamlessly adapts to long days and nights. We wanted these photographs to not only showcase the outfits but also tell a visual story of beauty and creativity.
One of the elements that has fascinated us the most is the reinterpretation of Ferragamo’s iconic ballerina. This emblematic shoe, known for its comfort and style, has been updated with an elongated last and enlarged hardware. The subtly rebellious elegance of this piece embodies the balance between classic and contemporary.
Similarly, raffia, an essential material in the history of the firm, returns in this collection with a modern approach. Leather-lined fabrics and cropped bags, along with mules adorned with this component, not only pay homage to the brand’s past but also present a fresh and current look. ‘At Ferragamo, the combination of high and low is fundamental,’ explains Davis. This fusion of tradition and modernity is reflected in every detail, elevating the collection to new heights.
Another highlight is the Hug bag, an emblem of the luxury brand’s legacy that reinvents itself with an ingeniously woven handle. This bag maintains its classic essence while adapting to current trends, becoming an essential accessory for any wardrobe.
