In a move that promises to revolutionize the air cargo industry, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, have announced a major partnership. FIATA has officially endorsed the IATA Cargo Handling Manual (ICHM), a comprehensive set of standardized procedures for handling air cargo. The ICHM establishes a framework of uniform procedures for airlines, ground handling agents (GHAs), and freight forwarders.
