Fire Breaks Out at Crockery Shop in Pune’s Raviwar Peth

A fire broke out at a crockery shop on the ground floor of a commercial building in Pune’s Raviwar Peth on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 5 am, and there were no reported injuries.

Fire brigade officials deployed four fire tenders and water tankers to the scene and quickly brought the blaze under control. The flames were contained before they could engulf the upper floors or spread to neighboring buildings.

According to fire officer Vijay Bhilare, no one was inside the building at the time of the fire. Local residents alerted the fire department after noticing smoke coming from the crockery store.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Bohri Ali, the area where the fire occurred, is primarily known for its hardware market but has expanded over the years to include various shops and businesses.

The fire highlights the importance of fire safety in commercial buildings and the need for proper fire prevention measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
