A fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday morning, causing significant damage to a home under construction in Edmonton’s Holyrood neighbourhood. The blaze, which ignited at a site near the intersection of 92nd Avenue and 81st Street, prompted a response from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) at 12:14 a.m.
Firefighters arrived at the scene six minutes later, according to an EFRS spokesperson who spoke with Global News. The fire was brought under control at 1:29 a.m., but crews and investigators remained on site to complete their work. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
