A significant fire broke out on Tuesday in a market located in the Vaibhav Khand area of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh. The blaze engulfed four shops, prompting a swift response from the fire brigade. Upon receiving the alarm, fire tenders rushed to the scene and successfully contained the fire within 15 to 20 minutes. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The incident comes on the heels of another major fire that broke out on Monday at an oil and chemical factory near the Muradnagar Canal bridge on the Delhi-Meerut highway. This fire, which engulfed a large industrial unit spanning approximately 2000 square meters, required the deployment of twelve fire tenders to extinguish the flames.
The intensity of the fire caused drums of edible oil and other chemicals stored in large quantities to explode, resulting in the collapse of tin shed roofs and boundary walls of the unit. The fire subsequently spread to a cardboard factory located on an adjacent plot.
Adding to these incidents, a cotton factory in the Rico Industrial area of Makhpura, Ajmer, Rajasthan, was also struck by fire on Monday night. Thick plumes of smoke billowed from the factory as the blaze spread across a significant area. Fire tenders were immediately dispatched to control the raging fire. These recent incidents highlight the importance of robust fire safety measures in both industrial and commercial settings.
